k guys heres the scoop ( btw this is all told to me via shira)
dev was peacefully dozing off on the bus, when suddenly screeeeeech!! the bus came to a sudden halt. Her head swung up, and her eyes popped open! "what was that?!", she thought as a sick feeling of nausea swiftly enveloped her. While dev is busy trying to communicate w her fellow passenger ( a true , blue charedi, no less), the static-filled loudspeaker crackled w life, "att all passengers! att all passengers! we are unfortunately experiencing some technical difficulties and will not be able to make it into ch, kan tziva hashem, so plz take all your belonging right now and skedaddle!"
"Oh no!", thot dev, "wat'll i do nowwwwwww? she stood there on the sidewalk, amid her many belongings, in a puddle of tears, mobile was dead, thus no taxi to call, only female for miles was the mexican cleaning lady washing the park benches. she longingly gazed at the bochurim all climbing into a comfortable car together, but knowing in her heart that she could never join them. dev was despondant she just sat on the street and let the hoplessness wash her away like a pebble at sea.
Suddenly out of nowhere, she hears a kind and gentle voice beside her, "excuse me miss, u look like u can use some help."
Dev looked up, a man, no an angel stood near her offering her a ride to ch! she stood there dumbfounded, unable to respond. Drying her eyes w the back of her hand she finally nodded dumbly.
and the rest is history, shes now safe and sound back in aussie land!
